The Co Host Interview Process

Responsibility #1 for being the host of a ptv show is selecting a co host. Oren Vourman was co-host of H-Train Hour during the first semester. Dillon Torchia was selected as co-host during the second semester. A co-host must have charisma, charm, dedication, intelligence, and improvisational skills. After finding this person, a beautiful ambiance occurs. In order to find someone like this a grueling interviewing process must be utilized. The following video exemplifies this process.

A glimpse into the World of H-train

H-train Hour experienced its ups and downs during its first season. Inspiration can originate from a smorgasbord of places. Hence, part of the reason why H-train Hour is labeled as a variety show. The following clip is from December 2009, and was part of the second to last show of the season. It featured Harrison Grinnell as the host, Oren Vourman (G'd out to the max) co-hosting, and Rusty Crackhauser free-styling like no human being has ever rapped before. Pee Wee Herman is in the background living it up on the blue screen and the beats are brought to you courtesy of Anthrofear. Enjoy!

The Mind of a Host (Virtu)

H-train Hour is a live show on Purchase Television (channel 69) hosted by yours truly (Harrison Grinnell). This blog will provide inside access into the mind of a t.v show host. On the show I exert my virtu (prowess). Virtu includes pride, bravery, an amount of ruthlessness and strength. Pride is incorporated into stage presence, bravery is practiced with overcoming fear of being on television, ruthlessness is exercised when creating your own unique mindset and strength used by showing up every week no matter if sickness or alternate date conflicts arise.
